When first starting to discover the difference between physical and emotional hungers, it can feel confusing and unknown how to satiate emotional hungers in non-food ways. Our emotional hungers are satisfied differently with connection, communication, and understanding. If food has always been your go to for all your hungers and you feel stumped as to how to satiate your emotional hungers in other ways, here are some suggestions of different regulating acts you can choose to begin to give yourself a choice to choose something beyond food.
